For those of you who haven’t read my article on Money Frequency vs. Abundance Frequency let’s do a quick glossary of terms before we begin, so we are clear on what the frequency of wealth is. And of course, none of this should be considered financial advice.
Vibrational Frequency of Money or “Money Frequency”
These terms refer to aligning with literal cash flow. It’s developing certain belief structures, attitudes, skills and emotional fortitude that lend themselves well to creating money in our world. It says nothing about any other part of our lives.
We can align with the frequency of money and still be depressed. Aligning with a “money frequency” does not indicate a robustly vibrating frequency. Rather, it’s a frequency we can join by developing a collection of vibratory traits. It’s usually seen as one flower in the bouquet that is an abundance frequency.
While there are some universal traits most people aligning with the frequency of money share, each person will have their own unique blueprint for strengthening their financial frequency.
If I’m working with a real estate developer, a tech worker, and an artist there will be some overlap in what we reprogram to shift their monetary frequency, but most of it will be unique to the individual; they all have potential to create flows of money in the world in different ways.
“Cocaine is God’s way of saying you’re making too much money.” ~Robin Williams
Vibrational Frequency of Abundance
Resonating with this frequency is taking a more wholistic view of our lives. We likely still want money… and what else? What enhances our life that we can’t always buy with money?
Hearing birds chirping, deep connections with friends, a calm consciousness. All these aspects make for a rich life, and we can neglect experiencing them in order to make more money; this may or may not be a mistake for some of us.
Manifesting abundance is acknowledging many variables have somewhat equal value in making our life rich, and deserve equal focus.
Developing our lives through the lens of abundance tends to add balance to our lives, and with balance often comes an amplification of vibrational frequency.
“There are people who have money and people who are rich.” ~Coco Chanel
Vibrational Frequency of Wealth or “Wealth Frequency”
This is a bit more loosely defined. It’s typically a more experiential frequency than the frequency of money.
It’s more about aligning with the feelings and experiences associated with a wealthy lifestyle: getting a high rise condo with an epic view, actually using a wine cellar, watching your friends laugh as you take them out on your boat, flying first class on Singapore Airlines.
Becoming resonant with experiences that make your life feel rare. This can be a tricky frequency to get on.
I tend to get on it, then fall off it (repeat). It’s one thing to get on a frequency, and another thing to strengthen and hold resonance with it, but that’s a topic for another article.
Here’s a story illustrating a lesson I learned in my myriad of experiments around how to align with the frequency of wealth.

What We Feel is What We Program
Our frequency mirrors the feelings, beliefs, emotions and actions in our life in vibratory form.
The trick when tuning our vibrational frequency to align with money or wealth is how to avoid accidentally programming ourselves for anxiety.
There’s a lot of advice out there about treating yourself and feeling abundant before abundance will show up. Yes. AND. There’s a big caveat here.
Years ago I bought myself a pair of gorgeous shoes that cost more than my rent. While I was unemployed.
Did the shoes help get me align with the frequency of wealth? Kinda.
I felt most abundant swinging that bag home from the store, kicking leaves in the fall sunshine. I felt absolutely glamorous wearing them. (Although I once made the mistake of wearing them to the Manila airport. They had about seven buckles each and were a nightmare to take on and off at security.)
The drawback to this fairy tale is it was stressful using this “big leap” method to align my vibration with wealth. Yes, we need to be able to create the emotions we’d like in our lives before the actual reality can take shape.
However, what you feel is exactly what you program.
Anxious timelines can result from misplaced abundance programming. If we’re doing something we’re absolutely terrified of, these are the feelings we’re programming in to our frequency to attract more of.
I programmed more stress about money and abundance into my vibrational frequency. Did I wiggle myself in to a bit more alignment with the frequency of wealth? Yup. Did I also expand the frequency of anxiety that lives in me? Yup.
The problem is my jump was too big. Like trying to shove a hotdog in my mouth instead of taking reasonable bites.
I could have bought splurgy shoes while I had a job; I could have taken the money and broken it in to seven smaller purchases over time. Basically, what I did wasn’t scalable or sustainable without a lot of vibrational wobble.
Moderation May Be the Fastest Path
“Moderation creates abundance.” ~Iyengar, Light on Yoga
Reprogramming vibrational frequency needs reasonable repetition of thoughts or action for long term results to materialize.
The majority of us will learn how to swim by going to lessons 3x a week- not by jumping off a bridge into a lake once. The same is true for programming vibrational frequency.
It takes time to stabilize ourselves and process emotions that come from making big moves. Big experiences affect our frequency, but if the result can’t be repeated at reasonable intervals the effects wash out.
My jump with the shoes was big at the time. I don’t regret it, but I tend to do things in extremes, and I wish a smoother ride for you dear reader.
Don’t Overdrive Your Headlights
Considering what we feel is what we program, for maximum impact we want to embrace shifting vibrational frequency at a scale that doesn’t set off alarm bells in our nervous system.
Going from zero to shoes that cost more than my rent while unemployed was a stretch.
The key to aligning with certain vibratory bandwidths, like the frequency of wealth or money, is not to overdrive our headlights.
Doing so ultimately slows us down in an ironic attempt to speed up.
There’s a bit of a sensationalist culture right now that makes us think if we aren’t going to extremes we aren’t making meaningful change in our life.
What gets me on a wealthy frequency may not get you on a wealthy frequency; we have different nervous systems. Some of us will lease a fancy car, some of us will splurge on a big tub of organic strawberries. Both are perfect.
Some people thrive under financial pressure and some buckle under it. This is why amplification of vibrational frequency is so nuanced.
This is why I’m leery of YouTube videos or experts that outline specific steps to manifest abundance. Like getting a house that’s too expensive, so the money will show up.
It absolutely may have worked for them. And there’s probably a bunch of people who tried that, went into debt… and didn’t feel like making a YouTube video about that.
These platforms also tend to have a bias for success stories found through extreme means. This can keep people from trying anything at all because what these influencers did to find success is too scary for most people.
The formula is different for everyone, and the ability to feel the appropriate amount of stretch within ourselves is part of a vibrational success formula.
Spending Our Way into a Wealthy Frequency isn’t Sustainable
“Anyone who lives within their means suffers from a lack of imagination.” ~Oscar Wilde
Oscar Wilde was definitely on to something. Yet, he was in debt by the time he was 23. We can only spend our way into alignment with the vibration of wealth for so long before it’s often unsustainable to continue.
We are looking to become resonant with a frequency, and this process is arguably more of an internal game- supplemented by actions in the external world. The act of solo spending without internal work isn’t scalable.
We get to feel alignment with the frequency of wealth for a day, maybe even a week or more, but the vibration isn’t sustainable without spending again because it isn’t alive inside us.
Spending our way into a vibrational frequency isn’t the same as learning to create genuine resonance with it.
I’d hazard a guess this is what flamboyant Oscar Wilde did. He probably loved the champagne pop feelings of being in alignment with the frequency of wealth, but was likely writing checks his belief structures couldn’t cover.
Creating true resonance with the frequency of wealth is all in the strategy. Intentional spending matters.
We want to treat ourselves up to the point it feels just a bit uncomfortable. We display an ability to flirt with the edge of our comfort zone, but understand that flagrant spending a la Oscar isn’t going to get us there long term.
It’s likely why celebrities blow through fortunes they don’t recover, and lottery winners end up where they started.
The goal is to show some courage and mindfully create delicious feelings that program our frequency to align with the vibration of wealth, without being erratic or creating anxiety. All while keeping a relaxed eye on our present moment finances.
Keep in mind this intentional spending is only one piece of a larger vibratory puzzle that is mostly an internal game.
We can even start with just our imagination, creating situations that give us the feelings we use to reprogram ourselves.
Certainly, what I’m sharing here isn’t a magic formula. It’s one step I’ve found works well in what is a much larger process I haven’t even completely dialed in yet.
Alignment with new frequencies is often just as much, or more, about upgrading our mental and emotional vibratory layers in addition to taking actions as described here. The internal changes that have to happen even the playing field for everyone.
Remember, scalability and repetition matter when it comes to aligning with frequencies. It’s one thing to get on a frequency, and another thing to stay on it.
Bottom line for this article is, if we make it too stressful to get on the frequency of wealth we will avoid it. A wealthy life isn’t just for the bold; it’s for the thoughtful and consistent as well.
